If you can't tell, it's the end of my "no links week." I know Saturday I had one in my journal, but that one was forgiven.

Because it's more important than anything else.

Anyways, I know I'm pretty good about keeping you guys up to date with my personal life. I know sometimes this isn't always the best thing.

I'll admit it.

I can talk easier with complete strangers than with my friends or family.

People expect more out of me the more they know about me.

Stop it.

Don't expect anything from me. Seriously.

I will let you down.

In other news, well... there is no other news.... so, time to rant a little I guess...

I'm not a patient person. Don't tell me something is happening in a week and expect me to sit here and wait for it.

I'll keep myself as busy as possible, but don't tell me that far in advance.

I'll be biting my nails with anticipation.

Just kidding. I don't bite my nails.

Did you know the ones you swallow take 7 years to digest?

Did you know they go straight into your apendix?

Did you know they can cut open your apendix from the inside?

It's true. All of it. Those stupid little nails get so crowded in your apendix that sometimes those sharp ends turn outward and they poke a hole in your apendix.

Mass infection for the masses.

You'd better get to the hospital.

That's why I only bit my nails for a year or two. Once I heard that in 7th grade (from a Science teacher - she even gave us the medical studies to read) I quit biting them.

ECK. Also, there's more bacteria built up under your nails than anywhere else. Even washing your hands doesn't get all that out from under them.

And I'm OCD.

That was the end of that phase for me.

I've spread this info to every friend I see biting their nails.

They don't always listen, but I at least warned them.

I bit my nails (though didn't swallow them) until I got braces when I was almost fourteen; the brackets were just barely in the wrong place, so the habit broke pretty quickly. I got the braces off in November, but I still don't bother biting my nails. I have nail clippers for when they get unwieldy.

Fingernails do not take seven years to digest, just as gum does not. That's a myth. I saw - personally, not just on the internet/television - it proven in a science lab; stomach acid dissolves them both within a day.
However, sharp things of any form can get caught in various places and tear, as well as make the area become infected, so it's not really a great idea to swallow nails, eggshells, non-chewed crunchy food (think Doritos) or anything else pointy and unpleasant-sounding.

Oh, and I've found that the only decent way to clean your nails is to wash your hair, assuming you have hair.

A Few Things to Expect When I'm Watching Your Account:

1.) I will only comment on things that make me feel like I can write a worthy comment. If all I can think of is "I like this" or "I don't like this" then I probably won't say anything at all It saves us both time in the long run.

2.) I WILL give critique, both good and bad, including corrections on spelling/grammar. If you're expecting only sugary-niceness to pour from my hands, you are greatly mistaken. I am here to HELP, not cater to your ego. In other words, if you aren't looking for critique to help improve your writing then I'm the wrong person to watch you

3.) I may not respond to all comments that say "thank you" or "you're welcome". Once again, it's a time factor Please do not get upset if you send a message like that and I don't respond.

4.) I *might* not watch you back if you watch me. This is due to the sudden influx of watchers to my account. I'm only one person and messages/deviations are constant! Anyone I do not watch back will most likely be the ones who do not post often, but if you have something you want me to critique and I do not watch you, feel free to note me a link and I will help! (Note***people who do not post often does NOT include close friends/oldest dA friends)

5.) If you don't like my critiques, then ask me not to watch you! I will not be offended. Not everyone appreciates constructive critisism but that's the only kind I give.
