Sitting in silent denial,
Contemplation
thinking outside the box
is hard when the walls are closing in
I'm afraid;
I'm not quite me.
Perpetual frown chiseled
Into otherwise emotionless features
Ward off your feeble attempts
At children's pleasant conversations.
I'm not rude
Or uninterested.
I'm rubber and molds,
Plastic features.
Hands that can't hold,
Eyes that can't glow.
I just don't have it in me.
My heart is cut off from my face,
Draining the twinkle from my eyes.
My childhood has passed...
But, I'm not the only victim of this grown-up drive by.

To know oneself, one should assert oneself. Psychology is action, not thinking about oneself. We continue to shape our personality all our life. If we knew ourselves perfectly, we should die. ~ Albert Camus, 1913-1960

I mean, that's all adults want us to be anyways... Their little doll on display... We just can't talk or act or dress how we want to

Eyes of glass stare directly at death
From deep sleep I have broken away
No one knows, no one hears what I say"
